Attention Neighbors –
Boston College opens their home football program with a bang (literally!) Friday evening, September 5th with a 7:00 PM game against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Fans and tailgaters are able to arrive at 4:00 PM so Commonwealth Ave, Beacon Street, Route 9 and our neighborhood will see more traffic and congestion between 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Please plan accordingly. In addition, as part of the home opener there will be fireworks over Shea Field as well. Boston College will be providing additional lighting, trash barrels and plenty of police presence before, during and after the game.
Representatives of the Chestnut Hill Association will be attending a “Post Football Game” meeting on Tuesday at Boston College to review traffic and parking issues. If you have any concerns please let me know at http://chanewton.org/2014/08/14/boston-college-fall-football-schedule/#respond and I will bring them to Boston College’s attention.
Thank you.
