Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon this weekend, June 6-8

Reminder: this weekend is the Runners World Heartbreak Hill Festival at Boston College. Planned activities include a 5k, 10k and 2 mile dog run on Sat and half marathon on Sunday and will include about 3000 runners. Expect road closures/delays on Comm Ave and parts of Beacon St.

Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon and Festival coming soon

June 6 – June 8 – Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon and Festival will be held at the Boston College campus, with music, kids’ races, and 5K and 10K races on Saturday, June 7 and a half marathon on Sunday. More details and registration on the runner’s world website.

Boston College Stokes Hall receives Bulfinch Award for architecture

Boston College’s newly constructed “Stokes Hall” has been recognized by the Institute of Classical  Architecture and Art as a recipient of a 2013 Bulfinch Award. This award is named for Charles Bulfinch, America’s first native-born architect, and designer of the Massachusetts State House. The award recognizes the best work of individuals and teams who contribute to the creation of classical and traditional architecture in New England.  A presentation of the award will be held at the Massachusetts State House on November 14th.
