Boston college football

BC’s first home game is Saturday, September 24th at 1:00pm, and parents weekend is October 1, when they will play Buffalo, an non-conferene team.

Neighborhood Meeting, June 21

The Chestnut Hill Association welcomes its members and neighbors to a presentation of the new construction planned for “The Street” by its development team.

Newton Aldermen Lisle Baker and Ruthanne Fuller will also provide important neighborhood updates and what you need to know about the Newton Charter Commission.

Waban Hill Reservoir Master Planning

Over the next few months, the City of Newton Department of Parks and Recreation and their consultants, from Spurr, Weston & Sampson’s design studio, will be holding a series of three (3) public meetings in order to develop a Master Plan for the Waban Hill Reservoir site, the City’s newest public park. The final Master Plan will be used as a blueprint for future, phased improvements to the site.

  • Public Meeting #1 will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. in room 205 in Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton Centre 02459. The designers will present their assessment of the existing site and receive public comment.
  • Public Meeting #2 will be held Thursday, June 23 from 7-9 p.m. at Durant-Kenrick House, 286 Waverley Avenue, Newton Corner 02458. Design alternatives will be presented and public comment received.
  • Public Meeting #3 will be held late September (date, time and location to be determined) Preferred concept plan will be presented and public comment received.
