Public hearing on special permit for ‘The Street’ in Chestnut Hill – Tuesday, September 20th

Land Use Committee Public Hearing:   At 7:00 p.m. the Committee will move to the Council Chamber (Room 207) to hear petition #261‐16 SPECIAL PERMIT/SITE PLAN APPROVAL to allow site and building improvements including constructing new buildings to allow for existing and new commercial uses consisting of banking, office, medical office, theatre, health club, retail, restaurant and parking, to allow buildings in excess of 20,000 sq. ft., allow a building 57’ in height, site plan review for buildings within 300’ of a great pond, allow parking within a setback, extend special permit #230‐14, update signage special permit #417‐12, allow a waiver of parking stall depth, and allow reduced parking facility lighting and waiver of interior landscaping requirements at 1‐55 Boylston Street, “The Street” CHESTNUT HILL SHOPPING CENTER LLC,.  A detailed agenda can be found at www.newtonma.gov/gov/aldermen/committees/landuse/2016.asp.  Contact Alexandra Ananth at 617.796.1121or aananath@newtonma.gov.

    There is much congestion in the present Chestnut shopping area now. We don’t need more.
