Chestnut Hill Association members, along with several local volunteer gardeners, will be planting 1000 daffodil bulbs along the Boston marathon route, including historic Heartbreak Hill on Sunday October 20th at 9:00 AM.  The Newton effort is part of the larger “Boston Strong Marathon Daffodil” project along the 26.2 marathon route. The goal is that by this spring and on Marathon Day, the marathon route will be a sea of yellow in tribute to those we lost and were injured last April.   The holes will be dug by Newton Parks & Recreation Department, so all we need to do is plant the bulbs.  If you would like to help, please contact Sande Young, Newton Daffodil Captain at Ssyspts33@aol.com.
