Changes at the Mall and the Street at Chesnut Hill

The Newton Patch reports that two new restarants have announced plans to open at the Mall at Chestnut Hill. Tokyo Japanese Steak House and Besito (Mexican style) will fill vacancies left by the recent closings of Charley’s Saloon and Bernard’s.

Bernard’s will be moving to the new space currently under construction on the former Macy’s building site, on “The Street” at Chestnut Hill, where it will join  Sports Club/LA, lululemon, City Sports, Pinkberry, Treat Cupcake Bar, Pottery Barn, and Polarn O. Pyret.

In addition, the AMC Chestnut Hill movie theatre has closed, pending the opening of Showcase Super Lux theatre, also to be housed in the buildings underconstruction. The theatre is scheduled to open in May.
