In addition to increased evening traffic as a result of the BC v Notre Dame 8:00 PM Football Game (tonight, Nov. 10), BC plans to utilize special illumination pyrotechnic effects during the Star Spangled Banner, when Boston College scores, and at the conclusion of the game if BC wins.
The devices are primarily visual color displays that will be shot from the roof of the Conte Forum side of Alumni Stadium, approximately 125-150 feet in the air. Neighbors will see them, but unlike fireworks, there is no sound attached.
BC has assured the CHA that they have hired a very reputable and experienced company, Atlas Pryo Fantasia, to provide the displays and have received approval from the Boston Fire Department, as well as City of Boston Consumer Affairs and Licensing Division.
