Last night the Conservation Commission held a hearing regarding the DCR / Rudyak Family Floating Walkway. The issue before the Commission was whether the walkway created an adverse impact on the wildlife, birds and watershed area subject to the administration of the Wetlands Protection Act. Last night’s hearing was a continuation of the July 27th Hearing.
After a lengthy, and at times incomplete and conflicting testimony, concerning the impact human disturbances would have on the wildlife’s habitats, nesting and breeding practices the vote was tied at 3-3.
Procedurally, a tie vote equals a denial and consequently the DCR proposal did not prevail.
