Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal

The Newton Police Department, Health Human Services Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are announcing that there will be a Medication Take Back Day on Saturday April 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All prescription and over the counter solid dosage medications, i.e., tablets and capsules can be dropped off behind the Newton Police Department, (Support Services Bureau), which is located at 1321 Washington Street, West Newton. All items can be dropped off anonymously. PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN intravenous solutions, Injectble drugs or needles, illegal drugs-such as marijuana or methamphetamines and weapons. *Please note that this is for household disposal only-No businesses are allowed!
