Public comment period for proposed changes at Hammond Pond

On October 24, the DCR held a public meeting concerning proposed changes at Hammond Pond. Slides from the presentation are available for viewing here, on the DCR website. The presentation includes plans for improving the existing walkways, recommendations for restoring the water quality of Hammond Pond, and construction details for the proposed floating walkways. The slides indicate that  the next meeting will be held when final design and construction documents are delivered, which should happen in late winter, 2012.

The DCR is looking for public comments on the proposal, until Monday November 7. Comments can be emailed to dcr.updates@state.ma.us or sent via U.S. mail to Office of Public Outreach, Department of Conservation and Recreation, 251 Causeway St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114
