Re-cap of Hammond Pond Meeting

A very thorough re-cap of the July 7 meeting about proposed changes to Hammond Pond can be found on the Newton Patch.

There was further discussion of the proposed boardwalk, improvements to public access, and of mitigating the environmental degradation the pond has experienced. DCR representatives suggested that access enhancements and water quality improvements could be pursued independently is in other Boston area projects. The Ruyak family expressed an interest in participating in both. Read the whole Patch coverage here.
