Chestnut Hill Center: Public Hearing and an Open House

As some of you may know, the Chestnut Hill  Center (481 Hammond Street, opposite the T stop, corner of Hammond and Suffolk) has been planning an addition to its building for some time.  In January, 2010, the Chestnut Hill Historic District Commission Approved their plans after an extensive review. For the past several months they have been refining the site, utility and landscape plans for zoning review, and have filed with the Newton Board of Alderman for approvals.

The public hearing before the Board of Alderman’s Land Use Committee will be on Tuesday, October 12th with the agenda starting at 7:45pm.  Legal abutters will get a notice from the City about the hearing.

In Order to share what information they will present to the Aldermen, The Center will have an Open House:

Sunday October 3rd

3:30-5pm
