Public Hearing on Chestnut Hill Shopping Center

The public hearing on the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center will be Tuesday, June 21, at 7:45 pm in the Aldermanic Chamber at City Hall in front of the Land Use committee.

Proposed changes at the Shopping Center include demolition and reconstruction of the building at 33 Boylston st. (which currently houses CitiSport and Century Bank.)  The proposed new building would be 3 stories high, with retail space on the first floor, office space on the second floor and the applicant’s corporate offices on the third floor. The proposal also includes plans to enliven the Rt. 9 side of the new building with pedestrian walkways, front doors, and outdoor seating.

The Newton Tab blog covered this development on June 6.
